Julie Young (Owner)
I’m Julie Young, and I’ve been obsessed with the ocean since I was a child. I grew up in Florida and spent my summers diving in the Gulf of Mexico. After getting my undergraduate degree in Marine Sciences from the University of Florida, I worked as a research scientist studying coral reef ecosystems.
Now, I’m the owner of oceantrust.org, an organization that advocates for sustainability and ocean conservation. I’m also an avid scuba diver and love exploring the underwater world. In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy books, writing, and traveling. I even have a pet iguana named Francis who likes to eat crickets (yum!).
